Senior Resident Suleiman,

This is in regards to the amount of annual leave that you have declared. As records show, you have yet to take any annual holiday for the year. This is to remind you that you have 30 days of annual leave that you must take prior to December 31st, 2017. This email is to remind you that it is most convenient for the surgery to take a portion of this holiday in the next two months, though of course, when you choose to take leave is at your discretion.

It has also been brought to my attention that you have missed your last two counselling sessions. Though I am aware that you have been extremely busy with both daily tasks as well as training the med students, please make these sessions more of a priority. It is important to ensure that you are mentally and physically well, given the nature of our work, and ultimately, your health comes first. I am aware your promotion has been strenous, but I wish to remind you that you are doing well and handling your responsibilities above expectation. My office is always open, and should you wish to discuss delegating some of your workload, I am happy to.
